Shahajian’s Alumnae

The college has an active Alumni Association which is recognized as ‘Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya Maji Vidyarthi Sangh, Khatav; but commonly referred ‘Shahajians’. The said association is registered with the Office of the Charity Commissioner under the Maharashtra Societies Registration Act 1860 bearing registration No. Maha/17782/SA under the Satara Division. The meetings of the managing council are held at least twice a year.

 

Financial Provisions
Separate bank account has been maintained by the Alumni Association. The accounts of the association are
audited regularly since its inception.

 

Objectives of the Alumni Association

  • To establish and encourage ties between the institution and alumni.
  • To foster and cultivate goodwill among all alumni as well as an interest in the business and welfare
    of the institution.
  • To convey the alumni about the alma mater, its alumni, faculties, and students
  • To aid and support the institution’s attempts to assist in holistic development
  • To act as a platform for alumni to encourage and improve the institute’s pursuit of academic excellence
  • To mentor and groom graduates who have just finished their course
  • To Organize and coordinate the activities of the alumni

The college has formed the managing council for the Alumni Association which can be viewed on the college website. In coordination with the council, the college regularly organizes the Alumni Meet. Recently, the association organized Grand Meet ‘Maha Melawa’ on 18th December 2022. The managing council has a good affinity with the present students, faculty, and the administration of the college. The alumni regularly provide feedback to the institution on academic and non-academic matters. Few alumni are employed in the institution itself and contributing to the progress of the vicinity. The alumni contribute in various terms such as monetary funds, books, intellectual inputs, feedback, etc.

The institution’s alumni are engaged in various fields like Administration, Legal Services, Defence, Journalism, Industries, Academics, Social work and Dramatics, Miscellaneous industries, Athletes, PSU
Bank & Post Offices etc.

Financial Contribution
The alumni has contributed nearly about One lac Rupees for the infrastructural development of the institution.

  • Guidance for Competitive Examinations

Alumni Association are dynamic, highly-motivated and service-minded entity that contributes in various viz. contribution in infrastructure development, motivational speeches, awareness programmes, training in employability skills and placement services etc. The managing council and the alumni have significantly contributed to the holistic development of the college. The alumni association actively contributes its share in the organization of curricular and co-curricular activities in the college.
