Dear Students,
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all in the beautiful, well structured campus of Chandrahar Patil Gramin Shikshan Sanstha’s, ShahajirajeMahavidyalaya, Khatav, one of the renowned and prestigious College in Satara District and in the jurisdiction of Shivaji University.
Our college is a leading educational institution imparting quality education to the all the sections of the society. Since its inception in 1965, it has continued the legacy of the Sanstha for the last fifty years it has strived hard to create a knowledge society in this region. During these five decades, the institute has not only scaled academic heights but also made its impact felt at state and national level. At present, the institute offers programs from 11th to graduation.
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to take an initial peek into the heart that beats behind the appealing façade of Shahajiraje Mahavidyalaya. I thank you for your interest in this exceptional institution which has recorded five decades of constant development, in the course of which it has accomplished much, making it one of the colleges recognized for its excellence and therefore, much sought after by the fresh applicants.
The college tradition happily brings together sound academic achievement with an extensive, vibrant co-curricular programme that includes sports, and leadership training programmes. Our mission is to inculcate the love of knowledge in our students and, for this, we aim to develop the skills and demeanor of lifelong ‘learning,’ essential for making responsible global citizens. This will make them immensely capable of facing the future with resilience and optimism. On the deeper level, we try to instill the values of respect and trust in relationships that are the foundation of real success.
At SRM then, we believe that ‘education’ is a wholesome, holistic exercise and as such we strive to give a whole new meaning to the word. Coupling this basic premise with the idea of a sense of belonging to one family—the SRM family—we look at ourselves as ‘care-givers.’ We care for the mind—ours is a sterling academic institution; we care for the person—the accent is on the all-round development of personality. To achieve the holistic development of the students from diverse background, the institute organizes co-curricular activities such as research competition, Paper presentation and extracurricular activities through various activity groups such as Youth Festival, NSS, Competitive Examination Guidance Centre, Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Cell etc. The dedicated faculty of the Institute always strives hard for the overall development of the students. I am really proud that our alumni are spread across the nation holding prominent position. The Institute is trying its best to make better quality scientists, IAS, IPS, thinkers, social workers, who can make a positive impact on society and help build our nation in these ever changing and challenging times.
